I’m on vacation, so I’ll keep it brief this week, and talk a little bit about following the Holy Spirit — right into a swimming pool.

The other day, while visiting my sister and her family, I ended up, fully clothed, in her pool.  I had no intention whatsoever of swimming that day, and so I wasn’t wearing my swimsuit.  I had plans, and those plans did not involve my getting wet, or cold, or needing to get changed in or out of anything.  And yet, there I found myself, running headlong for the deep end, laughing, giggling gleefully if you will, jumping just barely ahead of my niece’s hand that were so eager to give me a push.  How had this happened?  I can only say that I was inspired.  It’s a metaphor for life.: Sometimes, we just need to move when the Spirit moves us.
