There’s this attitude among some Catholics that has always gotten on my nerves. You may have encountered it. It’s a belief that saying or singing something slowly makes it somehow holier. I’m not sure where this started, but I’d love to see it end. Holy equals holy, and just because one may speak or sing faster than another says very little about one’s state of holiness.
